The objective was to establish a national administrative headquarter facility for the Orthopaedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

The site is a triangular parcel, perched on a high embankment, overlooking a slough of the Mississippi River. The project called for the development of a masterplan for an office park on the wooded 4 acre site. The site plan was designed to facilitate future building development, and permit the phased construction of the building for this owner.

The initial phase included a 11,000 SF two story building with a tower that houses the vertical circulation. The tower will serve as a connecting link for a future office wing to the south. The building was intentionally designed in the prairie style to help integrate it with the undisturbed natural surroundings.
