The restoration of a National Register landmark residence in accordance with National Park Service guidelines. This project was given a Wisconsin Society of Architects Honor Award.
VERNON COUNTY
COURTHOUSE
Viroqua, WI
Restoration and remodeling of the historic County Courthouse to meet changing accessibility and security guidelines. The 1.65 million-dollar project includes the restoration and unveiling of the previously remodeled historic courtroom.
BEAR VALLEY
BROWN CHURCH
Bear Valley, Wisconsin
This project involves the complete exterior restoration of a small Gothic Revival Church constructed in 1874. The restoration project follows the guidelines set out in a historic structure report completed in 1998.
GUNDRY HOUSE MUSEUM
Mineral Point, Wisconsin
The preparation of a Historic Structure Report which lays out a master plan for the restoration of the 1867 house, which is a contributing structure to the Mineral Point District. This project has progressed to the implementation stage and drawings are being prepared for bidding.
TEMPLE THEATER
Viroqua, Wisconsin
Plans for the complete interior restoration of the Temple Theater are currently being bid. Construction will be starting in June of 2001. The Theater will be restored to its original 1922 classical revival appearance. The project will also include significant upgrading of the theater’s stage equipment, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and sound systems.
MILLER-DAVIDSON HOUSE
Old Falls Village
Menomonee Falls, WI
Preparation of a historic structure report addressing the restoration and conservation concerns of an 1858 stone Greek Revival farmhouse. This project is currently in fundraising.
POTOSI BREWERY
Potosi, Wisconsin
This project includes the preparation of a historic structure report and assistance with the development of a business plan necessary for receipt of a major grant. This historic Brewery is now nearing ruin condition. The report will look at stabilization issues including salvagability in some areas, detailed history, cost estimates, code compliance determination, options for re-use, and adherence to Federal and State historical standards.
STOPPEL FARMSTEAD
Rochester, Minnesota
This project also includes the preparation of a historic structure report. The Stoppel farmstead was initially constructed in the 1850’s and is currently on the site of the Olmsted County Historical Society. The Farmstead consists of a house, barn, backhouse/shop and man-made storage caverns dug into the adjacent hillside.

A conceptual study to explore the facade rehabilitation of six key downtown storefronts to their turn-of-the-century appearance. The project was funded by the State Historical Society and the City of Mineral Point.
SHOE FACTORY APARTMENTS
Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin
Conversion of the 4 story, 35,000 SF former Chippewa Shoe Factory into 32-one and two bedroom apartments. The building was built in 1910, and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
A.A. ARNOLD BARN
Galesville, Wisconsin
Prepare a Historic Structures Report that documents the history of the A.A. Arnold Barn, with documentation and analysis to guide a restoration masterplan.
