Matt Bryan, AIA

Architect

Matt is an agile and inquisitive designer. His creative interests began in percussive music and have since translated into sketches, narratives, analog models, and digital visualizations. He draws continual inspiration from varied sources — structures but also text, textiles, music, and film — and is drawn to work that boasts the idiosyncrasies of its place and occasion.

Hailing from the mountains of western North Carolina, his work has earned several recognitions, including a 2019 nomination for the Shawcroft Drawing Prize and a 2021 AIA Triangle Student Honor Award. Excited by unfamiliar territory, he recently relocated to the Driftless region; nowadays, you might find him on the marsh, in the garden, or at the library.
