The Cleary Alumni and Friends Center welcomes people to the university as they enter on East Avenue. With its prominent towers and familiar materials, the new building serves as the “gatehouse to the campus.” Inside, visitors find an information center to direct them to places or activities throughout the campus. The center serves alumni, faculty, students, parents, and the community with a variety of flexible and comfortable spaces located around a central hospitality “hub” which opens to a landscaped court. The multipurpose design accommodates a variety of educational and cultural events.
The 12,800 square foot plan is zoned to separate public and administrative areas and arranged to maximize natural light and views to the campus and the surrounding bluffs.
