Churches: Pilgrim Center, Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe

The Pilgrim Center is the first building you approach at the Shrine. The main entrance is marked by an archway and a mission bell that leads you to a plaza which prominently displays a bronze statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe. As the visitors enter the Pilgrim Center they find themselves in a prayerful atmosphere. Pilgrims are welcomed by a gathering area that contains an information center, orientation room, along with the Shrine restaurant and a religious gift shop.High ceilings, rich woodwork and attention to detail offer a glimpse of what to expect elsewhere on the property. As one passes through the building they approach the paved path that leads upward to the other elements of the Shrine complex.
