Civic

Civic comes from the Latin word civis, which means citizen, and is defined in Webster’s Dictionary as “…relating to a citizen, a city, or community affairs." Our Civic Studio focuses primarily on public libraries, community centers, city halls, courthouses, justice centers, and fire stations. These institutions are the infrastructure for our daily interaction in our communities and deserve special design consideration to elevate their presence and purpose.

A great building, in my opinion, must begin with the unmeasurable, must go through measurable means when it is being designed, and in the end must be unmeasurable.”
