Grandad Bluff Earns National, State Awards

The Grandad Bluff Scenic Overlook Historic Restoration project was named one of American Public Works Association’s 2013 Projects of the Year. Additionally, the APWA has also given the Grandad Bluff project the award for the 2013 National Project of the Year.

River Architects partnered with the City of La Crosse and Fowler and Hammer to restore the overlook, which has been closed since 2007 due to safety and erosion concerns.

APWA’s Awards Program was established to recognize outstanding individuals, groups and chapters representing the best in the public works profession.
