Perched on the hillside above the Pilgrim Center, the Votive Chapel is nestled along the walking path leading to the Shrine Church. The Chapel reflects the blend of Romanesque and Spanish styles with its exterior constructed from local stone with cut limestone trim.
Inside this small, jewel-like building is a hand-crafted bronze pyramidal votive rack which contains 576 votive candles illuminating the exquisite 10-foot-tall stained-glass windows, giving the entire building an ethereal glow inside and from within. Visitors have an opportunity to light a candle as a memorial for their special intentions. The beautifully detailed windows honoring Our Blessed Mother depict seven apparitions of Our Lady.
