Our STAR Center project is highlighted in the April/May issue of Coulee Region Women’s Magazine.
The STAR Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is the first accessible adaptive fitness center in the region, committed to serving those with disabilities, with the goal of providing recreation and exercise opportunities to all within the community, complete with adaptive equipment and programs specific to people with disabilities, chronic conditions, or those recovering from strokes and accidents.
Throughout the 2,300-square-feet, River Architects collaborated to create a barrier-free facility.
In addition to a group exercise space, the facility houses a strength and conditioning area equipped with specialized equipment that allows those of all abilities to exercise independently.
