The Ho-Chunk Garden at Riverside International Friendship Gardens has reached an exciting milestone with the unveiling of the Betsy Thunder statue.
This project was built on collaboration from the very beginning. Working alongside Riverside International Friendship Gardens, the Ho-Chunk Nation, artist Debra Fabian, and a talented team of project partners, we helped create a space that honors Ho-Chunk history while inviting visitors to learn, reflect, and connect.
Thoughtfully integrated into the landscape, the Betsy Thunder statue serves as the centerpiece of a garden designed to celebrate culture, storytelling, and a deep connection to place. Every element reflects a shared vision shaped through partnership and respect for the site’s significance.
