Demolition Begins on Cowley Hall

The demolition of Cowley Hall has begun at UW-La Crosse. Crews are bringing down the former science building, built in 1965, to make way for Prairie Springs Phase II, a new 94,604-square-foot facility.

Phase II will include offices, classrooms, instructional labs, research labs, and a number of highly specialized spaces that are critical to the overall delivery of science instruction and learning at UW-La Crosse.

The entire complex is designed to look as if it was built at one time, blending seamlessly into the existing campus context. Phase 1 was completed in 2018 on a parking lot adjacent to Cowley Hall.
